I love my job, really its fantastic.
This handsome little dudes momma contacted me and scheduled a meeting just a few days before she was due to be induced. We had a lovely chat, and determined the direction she wanted her sons sessions to go. Choosing colors, props, poses, and even sharing with me her desire to showcase her husbands marine uniform in the session. There is absolutely nothing I love better than meeting with moms and dads before baby comes. It gives me an insight to their style, and personality. Truly it helps me plan a session specifically catered to them. After mom and I parted ways I went into what I call the waiting game. I secretly sit at home and wait anxiously for the message, email or phone call announcing the arrival of your little one. My husband thinks I am crazy when I do my little happy dance, its so exciting to work with all of you! So finally this little man arrived and after a slightly longer than normal stay in the hospital we were scheduled to shoot his newborn session. IT WAS AWESOME! Despite being a little fussy at the beginning he settled right in and rocked all his poses, even the ever intimidating baby on marine dress hat! I was so honored to photograph this family and their newest little guy. Being so close to the army base Fort Leonardwood, I am blessed to work with many military families, it is very humbling to meet these folks who serve our country, and to be asked to capture their most important memories. Thank you to all who serve, and thank you to this little guy, for putting me through my paces, and for letting me put him through his. Here are some of my top picks from his session.
