As a photographer, sometimes its is essential to make changes, tweak your lighting, camera settings, and poses to create just the right look. As woman with out a newborn, these things are difficult to accomplish with out the help of some very wonderful mommies and babies.
When I am working on a new look, I will often times send out a model call, this call is posted on my Facebook, instagram and occasionally my website. I take applicants and choose at random those who participate. I offer small compensation for helping in out in the way of digital files and prints. At the model call session I work on the concept I am trying to develop. Usually these sessions are brief, and to the point, I don't branch out and do a full session unless mom has agreed to it before hand. Recently I posted for a newborn model, I was blessed to have a baby boy and girl, the same age come in for these. The set was complete when they walked in, both babies were sound asleep, and I got right to work. The specific change I was working towards for these is a shift in lighting, and floor posing. Both babies work sooooooo good, nice and sleepy and so well behaved. I truly enjoyed these little mini sessions. Baby boy was solid little guy, with some serious cheeks! I just love babies with a little fat in their cheeks. He was so handsome in blue, and just barely fit in my basket! Little miss was a darling sweet thing, she was fair and perfect for her pink set. Snug as bug in a rug she slept through my fussing with her little fingers and toes. Here are a few of my favorites from these sessions. Enjoy!
