There are countless benefits to hanging your family portraits on your walls. Not only do they look amazing, add beautiful decor to your home, act as a great conversational piece, but they can benefit your family psychologically as well. When asked about the possible benefits of displaying family portraits Dr. Nicholas Bergeron (PhD in developmental psychology) stated "Displaying family photographs can lead to increased children's self- awareness and the social support shown within the photograph can enhance children's self-esteem." Little Mother Photography offers full service printing through the nation’s best professional photo labs. We have access to professional photo labs, ones that individual consumers don’t. These high quality photo labs make all the difference when preserving your timeless moments. If you’re choosing to go with a high quality photographer to capture your moments why would you choose anything but the best to print and display them? Countless other bloggers have posted comparisons showing the difference in quality from a professional photo lab vs Walmart, Walgreens, Shutterfly, Snapfish, etc.. So rather than re-invent the wheel we have compiled information and pictures from some of our favorite blog posts for you to compare below. We though this original approach would show the full spectrum of what you could get if you use one of these consumer photo labs. Quality and product varies greatly by time, location and other factors. By showing a collection of different images printed at different consumer labs (and also compared to the original image or what the photographer got at a professional lab) you, a Little Mother Photography customer, would have the most knowledge to make an informed decision regarding how to preserve your memories forever. It should go without saying that the images that follow are NOT Little Mother Photography's. Credit and links is given for the images below. This first round of photos is from Beck Impressions Photography's blog. Take note on the dark, (terrible?) coloring in the Walmart prints. The Walgreens prints look way too saturated, and Costco and Target don't look much better! This second round of photos is from Amanda Jackson Photography's blog. Walgreens looks like the worst of this bunch, but the other 3 aren't far behind! Too dark, saturated, and the coloring is all sorts of awful. The third group of images are from P&W Photography's blog. At first glance the prints don't look as bad as some of the images we've already seen. However, a closer inspection will show poor color matching, high saturation, and overexposure in many of them. And this fourth and final group of images is from DeWitz Photography 's blog. In both of these examples Walmart photos came out underexposed and over saturated; the Walgreen prints came out way overexposed. The takeaway: when printing nothing compares to the quality of a professionally printed photo. Little Mother Photography will help you to get the best prints with a variety of unique products (prints, canvases, mounted photos, albums and more). We offer a quality guarantee, and do all of the hard work for you. We assist in choosing sizes and medium, and we're available to help you hang it.
Wall art is timeless, beautiful, and a great way to decorate your home. When preserving your family's memories for generations to come you should consider the best.
