Your bundle of joy is the most important thing in your life, and keeping babies safe is always our number one priority! The Little Mother Photography studio is always cleaned and sanitized before your newborn photo shoot (outfits, backdrops and props included!) Kandi always washes her hands plenty and keeps a bottle of hand sanitizer nearby when preparing for and performing the shoots. We love outdoor sessions, but we only take newborns outside if the weather permits. The entire Little Mother Photography team is fully vaccinated. Every year we get our flu shots, and make sure our whooping cough (Tdap) vaccine. We never hesitate to reschedule an appointment if we are feeling under the weather. We would rather cause a minor inconvenience than risk spreading germs to your newborn. Keeping your babies and families safe, happy, and healthy is our primary goal when working with you!

The Little Mother Photography team has grown! Theresa's son, Gabriel, was born Monday, October 8. You may remember seeing her maternity photos in our last blog post, we hope you'll now enjoy his BEAUTIFUL newborn photos now. It took a bit, but Kandi (aka the baby whisperer) worked her magic and got Gabe to sleep peacefully for the duration of the shoot. The result? Magical, beautiful images that Theresa and her family will TREASURE forever! Kandi went above and beyond with this photo session! She had just gotten in a few brand new outfits all of the way from Italy; of course Gabriel was excited to model them. <3 <3 <3 And two sets with tiny beds? Oh my goodness, the cuteness! Kandi even thought ahead to Christmas and did a special holiday set. What an ADORABLE sleeping Santa. The weather cooperated and we were able to get some awesome family images outside! Unfortunately Gabriel's big sister, Bernice was less than excited for the photos (and her baby brother in general), but we're working on that! Welcome little Gabe! We're ABSOLUTELY smitten.
xoxoxo Oh, sweet Emily! How gorgeous are you in that stunning orchid pink? Emily’s mom requested pinks and florals, and Little Mother Photography was delighted to play with the beautiful color spectrum, perfect for spring! Emily was sweet and sleepy for her session (which is perfect for newborn photos!), but her personality still managed to show through. What an amazing little girl. Emily’s mom, Jessica visited us for her maternity session a few months ago. It’s easy to see where Emily gets her good looks from! This maternity session was one of my favorites of all time.
Little Mother Photography LOVES photographing newborns… of any species! Recently, we’ve had some furry critters come into the studio for a shoot… and let me tell you- it was a BLAST! It’s always fun and exciting to mix things up, and we love capturing images of these cute animals. Little Mother Photography can also incorporate animals into your family portraits, just check out how this family included these older (furrier) siblings in their newborn shoot: Check out some more images from our recent animal photo shoots below!
Cooper’s mom, Tonya, and I go way back; before kids, husbands, or college. Tonya is one of the bravest, most beautiful people I know (inside and out!), and I am so HONORED to be a part of her baby story. We photographed Tonya’s pregnancy with Cooper’s older brother, Gregory, as well as his first year. Now, it was Cooper’s turn. First: the announcement! Little Mother Photography was so excited to be able to help the couple share their BIG news! In Tonya’s third trimester we captured some absolutely BREATHTAKING maternity images. Tonya looks like an absolute GODDESS. And how sweet is this moment between Gregory and his mama? That little Mohawk, giving Eskimo kisses…perfection. And finally, when Cooper came into the world I was so excited to take his newborn photos. His session was designed to work with the colors used in his big brother’s sessions. We LOVE when clients work with us with the end goal of printing and hanging our work! The greys and blues of Cooper’s set will look wonderful displayed next to Gregory’s. Cooper was a perfect gentleman for his session, and slept like a rock (a newborn photographer’s DREAM model!) Mom and Cooper took a nursing break, where he ate like a champ, then went right back to sleep. The little guy did not go to the bathroom on set once. Another local photographer from Missouri University of Science and Technology came to observe the session; what a treat for him to watch such a wonderful, cooperative baby! We’ve been with Cooper from announcements, gender reveal, maternity and now newborn! I love watching my friends grow and their lives change. It’s even better when I get to be a part of their story, documenting it for them.
Little Mother Photography was live on location this week! I was blessed to be welcomed into little Victoria’s home for these stunning shots! This hybrid of lifestyle and posed newborn session turned out amazing. How proud (and gorgeous?!) are this new mother and father? It was such a joy to work in such a stunning nursery, lovely home, and beautiful family. What could make this photoshoot even more perfect? Puppies! This pair seems to be adjusting to older sibling life quite comfortably. Little Mother Photography is always happy to come to your home or shoot on location. When our clients are comfortable we are able to get the most amazing natural images. Interested in scheduling Little Mother Photography for a home lifestyle session? Contact us today!
Happy Monday! I’ve been so wonderfully busy and am excited to share some images from last week with you! This BEAUTIFUL little girl in purple is Jolene from Rolla. Not only was Jolene was an absolute doll and delightful to work with, but her siblings were too! Check out these cuties. They are so proud of their little baby sister. Little Mother Photography shops the globe to find the BEST accessories for our photoshoots. We really are a one-stop shop for outfits, accessories, headbands, hats, blankets, wraps. For Jolene’s photos the bonnet was from Riley’s Mom Makes Hats, the tie backs were purchased from The Dainty Miss, the fabrics she is laying on are from Freebird Props, and the gorgeous lace is from Namiko. I just can't get enough of this precious little girl! Check out more images from her gallery below.
We’ve been having some fun! Check out these great images. I felt honored to be invited into Victoria's home for her newborn session; what a beautiful little girl! Her skin just glowed in that marigold wrap on the orchid blanket. And this couple? Amazing. It was a delight to work with them. We traveled to Dixon to capture some great images. These two managed to look cozy and warm on a chilly January day! I had so much fun with Lainey during her puppy smash cake. She loves puppies, and we were able to get her smash cake custom made into a puppy. Lainey has been with Little Mother Photography for the past year, and I’ve loved getting to know her family and seeing her grow. Our baby to birthdays are always bittersweet when they conclude. Newborns, couples, and first year smash cakes, Little Mother has you covered.
