Some times, you try something new, for the very first time, and its a total flop. Especially when your working the with unpredictable element of newborn babies! You can plan, plot, practice and prepare all the ways you know how, but until you are in the moment, actually doing it, you just don't know how its going to turn out.
Couple the unpredictability of a newborn, with a new lighting set up in your studio, and your own little ones barging in and you can be certain that, at least for me, my ability to focus is dramatically distorted. However all those factors aside, sometimes your knowledge, skill, and intuition take over and you are blessed with success. This newborn nest set is a project i have been working on in my head for some time. I began gathering pieces here and there, making notes, and piecing together all the components for the set. When I finally felt confident enough to try it I opened up a model call for newborns. This dazzling little beauty's momma answered and I am so glad she did. This little lady was darling and had the most amazing head of hair I have ever seen! I almost hated to put the bonnet on her! The nest set is a fun and unique prop for spring newborns, and honestly a baby born any season can use this one! I plan to customize each session with different flowers, colors, and poses to make each little baby bird one of a kind! Here are a few images from this session, please enjoy!
