Introducing the newest Gifts of Grace recipient, Susan.
This beautiful young lady is 8 years old, and loves purple, flowers, and horses. Susan is diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis, this is a life shortening disease that effects all the bodies secretions. Most notably this affects the lungs, causing many infections and blockages. Most children with Cystic Fibrosis also have issues with their pancreas thus making absorbing nutrition from their food difficult. By the time children with Cystic Fibrosis reach their teen age years they will need a lung transplant. Susan has been in and out of the hospital her entire life. Currently she is able to do her lung tune ups at home, this is exciting for her family as this means less hospital and dr visits! Susan is such a sweet little girl, has an amazing smile, and darling personality. Her Gifts of Grace session was very fun and funky. In fact we all danced to her favorite song during her shoot (Bruno Mars, Uptown Funk) I love how this little girl smiled through her coughs, and graced me with her happiness. It was such a blessing to meet you Susan!!! If you would like more information about Cystic Fibrosis please follow this link https://www.cff.org/What-is-CF/About-Cystic-Fibrosis/ If you know some one who has a child that would enjoy and Little Mothers Gifts of Grace Session please contact me via the contact form on the website. Now for the best part, the pictures!!!!

Whew, what a week last week, eight babies came into the studio in answer to my model call.
It was awesome!!!!!! Seriously like a dream week, all those little fingers, chubby cheeks, and baby smells. It was my version of work heaven. The goal of the model call was two fold, first I had a new baby poser I wanted to practice with. This particular piece is very challenging piece to pose babies in, in a natural and organic way that is congruent with my style. So a I really needed to practice with a variety of babies, in different styles and ages. Still have a great deal to learn about the options, and possibilities with this particular prop. The second purpose of the model call was an awesome opportunity, for me professionally. I was contacted my one of my favorite vendors, and she wanted me to take pictures of her products in use for her Etsy store. How awesome! She creates such awesome and darling pieces for little girls. I was honored to be asked. So a model call was in top order. It was so much fun!!!!!! I just love creating sets and organizing colors and layers for these headpieces. So after a crazy busy week, with lots of little ladies and gents coming in the studio, I was both excited to have a great new understanding of my new prop, and some awesome images to share with the vendor, as well as exhausted!!!! LOL all those babies, means lots of laundry, and computer time. Model Calls are one of the things I will do from time to time, so if you missed this one please follow me on Facebook, to keep aware of when I offer these. It could be for anything from Maternity, to first birthdays. You just never know what my brain will decide I need to shoot! Here are some of my favorite images from the week. |
