Sweets for the sweet. This little lady popped in for her valentines day pictures and while she wasn't in the best of moods we managed to work around that and get some great pictures for her momma and daddy.
I love love this bowl of candy set, look to see it at least two more times before valentines day. Situating this little lady was a bit of a challenge but with moms help and a well timed bottle removal we were able to get this awesome image. Remember, it only take one perfect picture to make a session, I may take many, many pictures every session even if baby is fussing or kids are goofing off. It just takes one split second, one moment in time to capture that great image, smiles of real joy while kids are playing. A split second between pacie removal and baby realizing its no longer there. So bear with me if you feel like your sessions not going as planned, I will keep at it until we get that moment. Enjoy these sweet images and find me on Facebook to keep up with specials, sneak peeks, and contests.

These little ladies are always so much fun to work with! I busted out my new giant white paper roll for this super fancy session. They were so happy to show off their flower girl dresses from a recent wedding. Twirling and dancing, posing and primping. They both really worked the camera so sweetly. Together and apart they are just such beautiful little ladies, inside and out.
It is such an honor for me capture these moments, especially for my friends and their families. These two sweethearts are great friends with my little girls so these images are extra special for us both. I love this style of photography, simple set, monochromatic, and amazingly beautiful. It becomes all about the subject and their personalities, dimples, eyes, and curls. Find Little Mother on Facebook and instagram to keep up with current sessions, prop production, and procurement. Oh this little sweet heart had such a fun time after her session was over, during she wasn't so sure! This 18 month session was split into two sets, a little winter snowflake fun, and a Valentine's day celebration. I'm saving the hearts for closer to the day, but I am excited to share these snowflake images with you.
One thing I find helpful when a little one isn't feeling the session is to give them a little break, let them explore the space and feel more comfortable with where we are and what they are doing. If that doesn't work and little one still isn't feeling it I bust out ( with mom and dads permission) my secret weapon of fruit snacks! Those little buggers work nearly every time. One fruit snack per smile. Usually an entire package will let us finish the session with a happy kid! Working with kids can be tricky, they almost never want to do what you want them to do. Patience is key, no pressure, and never let them see you sweat! I always ensure there is extra time built in to a session, to let kids be kids. So mommas and daddies relax let the kids be kids and we will get what we get and usually if the littles aren't feeling pressure you can get some awesome natural shots. Enjoy this little lady and catch me next time you need some fun pictures of your little ones. Happy birthday to you Mrs. A! What a fun way to celebrate a very happy birthday! This session was such a fun time and after her make up and hair the birthday girl in her fancy party dress resembled the iconic Betty Boop. We played around with several different sets and poses and ended up with some fun, sassy and glamorous shots.
Here are a few of my favorites from this session, Mrs. A wasn't afraid to get silly and had a lot of fun posing and making flirty faces for the camera. Enjoy... This little guy was ready and rearing to go when I arrived for his newborn session, wide awake! He crashed out mid- session, so we we able to get some bright eyes and sleepy baby faces. This little chunk is the son of my husbands cousin and I am so honored to meet his little baby self, and take his newborn pictures.
The natural light in their home was just the perfect setting for the session, and we utilized throws and baskets from my stash and from around the home. A great way to bring a little of your style into your newborns portraits. Cant wait to see this little Nascar fan grow up, and give his parents a run for their money! ![]() "Though she be but little, she is fierce" William Shakespeare, Midsummers Nights Dream This momma, is little and so fierce. She jumped on board for this dreamy, maternity session and came ready to work. This session is kind of a cross between my love of the fairie sessions, and maternity. My goal was to create a dreamy, fantasy, feel, and still focus it on the baby belly. When I started planning this session, I envisioned a follow up of a newborn session with a similad feel, soft dreamt focus, and same fabrics and flowers. I can't wait to share those images with you, as soon as that special little lady is born! I hope you enjoy these as much as I did creating them. I look forward to making more artwork like this, so any mommas to be interested in a less traditional and more fantastic maternity session, let me know! This poor little guy was really fit to be tied when we started his session. However he has an awesome and amazing big brother who was right there ready to sooth, sweet talk, and help get him settled. I was amazed at how attentive big brother was, such a sweet relationship already between the two of them. I was eager to try this new combo wrap/ fuzz for his session and I am really liking how it turned out. A touch of orange, and the texture of the wrap is the perfect backdrop for those precious little fingers and toes. Please to meet you Mr. King, and baby King, hope to see you again soon Oh I love this young lady, she is my baby sister. I was so tickled to have her come into the studio for a glam session. I remember when she was a little baby, and I would dress her up, do her hair and makeup and take her pictures over and over, up until the day I moved away for college and even a few times after. So what a flash back for me to be doing her makeup and taking her pictures now as a grown up collage student herself.
We had a fun little mini session, snuck in while her nieces and nephew were occupied with a movie. She brought a few outfits and we chose two unique looks for her, changed her makeup between sets and wardrobe changes, and ended up with some amazing images of her beautiful self! Enjoy... Oh sweetness, this little lady was super precious. Her little Mini Mouse outfit was the perfect touch for her disney loving parents. This little lady was such a trooper for her session, slept through the entire thing! She loved to scrunch up and made us work for some of the shots, but still sound asleep. I just love sessions where baby is super cooperative, parents are eager to help pose, and it all just comes together. We did four different poses/sets for this session with several nods to moms maternity session. All in all this little lady ended up with a great collection of images from her newborn session and I can't wait to see her grow up in front of my camera.
