What to say about this handsome little viking, he is just so sweet, and adorably snuggly!
He is the most handsome, fierce viking warrior, when he's awake! Luckily for me he slept through his newborn session, and gave us some great faces and wonderful poses. His session was split into two parts, sometimes it takes a second go to get things just right, and I am glad we went for round two, because we achieved some super cute pictures of this handsome little guy!
We did several different sets for him, and even his lovely momma got in on the action toward the end of the first session, and some of my favorite momma and child images resulted.
One thing I learned during this session is to go with the flow, babies need to nurse, so let them nurse, when you do two things happen. First, you have a happy sleepy, tummy full baby who is more posable and easy to work with. Second you achieve amazing shots like momma nursing baby! Those are the best, nursing sessions, even impromptu ones, are the best. Such intimate moments between momma and baby, having been a nursing momma myself for several years, I know how awesome it is to nurse your baby. Something I wish I had thought to do for myself is to get more images of me nursing. Alas that ship has sailed so now I get to create those precious memories for my friends and clients.
Here are a few of my favorite pictures from these sessions, I had so many I enjoyed and will probably post so many more than these on instagram and Facebook so keep your eyes open those places for more!
