Occasionally I will issue a model call for a specific age, gender, or group of individuals. Last month I opened a model call for newborn baby girls an this little ladies momma answered. I am so glad she did, because she is a darling little peach and she rocked her bonnets!
I had ordered a new baby bonnet for little girls and was dying to try it out for spring! Also I had just made a little vintage handkerchief bonnet and was dying to try it out. So we did, but there was a learning curve, bonnets cast a shadow on baby's face so I was pushed to change lighting and move my model around a bit to get the look I was hoping to achieve. I so love to push myself and try new things. I am always researching, learning, and trying new things in the studio, with my own kiddos and even some times on dolls!
Newborns are really the focus of my business and the portion of my portfolio I continue to grow and develop. As new techniques become available, new poses become of interest to me and, new props enter my stash I will continue to offer new poses and sets and well as model calls!
Stay tuned for more model calls for your new little one!
This little lady really was a doll baby to work with, she was wide awake for most of her session but put up with our posing her, and moving her about. So we were able to get some great pictures of her pretty eyes and even captured a smile!
I am so happy to share these images with you, enjoy!
