Hayley is a sweet heart of a three, almost four, year old little girl.
She loves to sing, play playdoh, and in the dirt. Her favorite color is purple, and she likes to ballet dance. Hayley is the middle of three sisters and is very proud to show off her little baby sister.
Hayley was diagnosed in January of 2015 with Acute Lymphocratic Leukemia. At the time of her diagnosis Hayley spent 21 days in the hospital, now she visits St.Louis Children’s Hospital monthly for various testing and receives chemotherapy in her home.
Currently Hayley is in Clinical Remission and is doing wonderfully.
I have never meet a sweeter, happier kid, if you want to see the meaning of the words brave and happy just look at her sweet little face.
Hayley is the recipient of the very first Little Mothers Gifts of Grace photo session. I am so excited to launch this concept! Children like Hayley who have been diagnosed with cancer, terminal illness or, brain injury, don’t live the normal life of a child. Their days are filled not with running and jumping but with needles and medicine.
The goal of Little Mothers Gifts of Grace is to provide a moment of normalcy for these kids and to gift them with a morning or afternoon of fun. Each recipient will receive an accordion album from the session as well as prints and digital copies of the pictures. I am partnering with the wonderful Erin Bartz and Studio K in St. James, and she is providing makeup and hair services for these young people.
When she arrived at my studio Hayley and I began by picking out her outfit for the session, this little girl knows her mind and went right to purple! She choose all of her accessories as well. While we were shooting her mom turned on her favorite tunes and she boogied herself all over my set. When we were all done Hayley and I even snuck in a few minutes to dance together. As she walked out the door she graced Erin, and myself with hugs. Such a sweet happy child.
If you know a child that would be a Gfits of Grace candidate please let me know, I will be doing these sessions quarterly, with the intent to grow.
If you would like to sponsor a Little Mothers Gifts of Grace session please contact me at Kan_D15@hotmail.com. Each sponsorship will cover the cost of the printed products for these little ones.
Your donation helps to offer each child an accordion album, a small mini book that fits into a little hand very nicely, and the children can take them just about anywhere, even to the hospital for their treatments.
Here are some of my favorite outtakes from Miss Hayley’s session, please take a peek and enjoy!
