Today's photo challenge word is Hard Work.
We live on a farm, have three small kids, one of us owns and operates a small business, the other works for the family business. We are not strangers to hard work. However, is it work if you love what you do? If you do it for those you love?
My image for today is a snap shot of my husband brush hogging our front field. What this image doesn't show you, is that he is crammed up in the cab of the tractor with three kids who love to help, and a dog who can't sit still. He rode with them for thirty minutes, God Bless him. He loves to work the land, mostly because we want this farm to be here for our kids to work, and their kids. We are merely stewards for them, maintaining and improving this place for them.
So while the work is hard, and the hours sometimes long, we do these things out of love. With the hope what our children will learn to work hard, and love the land, and each other. And one day give that gift to their children.
