Occasionally I am inspired by something, could be a piece of fabric, a peek of the light through the trees at sunset, or in the case of this session, my neighbor's flower beds. I drive by his home daily, some days multiple times. Sometimes you can see something a hundred times before you realize its potential, one day, on my way home, I caught a glimpse of these flowers out of my passenger window and bam it hit me. The potential was there, and it was amazing!
So I made a phone call, got permission to use the flowers, and then published a model call! It was so much fun, i just love when I get complete creative control over a session. All the colors, poses, and props were my choices. It was amazing, so much fun! Some of my favorite images ever were a result of this session.
I had several people answer my ad, and I so hate to turn anyone away, however I can't shoot for free all the time!!!! I accepted three people/ babies into my model call and they rocked it. I so enjoyed meeting and working with my little models and playing with them in the flowers.
The first model's session was shot between rain showers. Silly weather didn't want me to work that night! However the humidity in the air, and the clouds really made for a dramatic session. Some gorgeous images.
Baby number two, decided that the day of her session was also the perfect day to start crawling. She gave us a little start when she attempted to crawl off the set! Baby number three was a sleepy little doll, she really was great for a little bit older newborn and allowed me to try several poses for her little self.
I so hope you enjoy these images as much as I do! I can't wait to shoot here again next summer!
