What a darling young man, he was quiet, respectful (didn't soil my set!), and full of charm.
This guy had it going on, rocking his handsome head of dark hair, and beautiful baby skin. It was so nice to work with him and his parents for his newborn session.
We had such a great time, stepped outside first thing for a few family shots and some amazing pictures of this little guy all by himself. Then we popped back into the studio, this guy slept through it all. Like a pro! He stayed asleep all through his session up till the very end. This little guy knows his mind as well. He knew what he liked, what was comfortable, and if it wasn't he was not going to do it. It was almost comical how he would curl up into a ball every time I tried to pose him. Specifically on his little tummy, but put him on his back with his legs pulled up to his little chest and bam it was golden. So I plopped him into a bowl at the end, and got my most favorite pose from the entire session!
Moral of the story, roll with it. Go with the flow, and let the baby tell you what they like, not always is your plan going to go the way you want. (Seriously momma's don't we all learn this after like week one?) So while I didn't get to all my staple poses, and wasn't able to follow my "plan". I really feel like this session was a great success, and I am tickled with the end results, I can't step away from editing them!
When you make your way into the studio for your own little ones newborn photography session, please keep it light, let it flow, follow babies lead, and in the end we will get pictures that represent your baby, and their own unique personality.
Here are some of my favorites of Mr. Drake!
